Floors Castle, near Kelso, is the family home of the Duke of Roxburgh. The original castle was transformed into its present very grand Jacobean style of architecture when it was re-modeled in the 19th century by William Playfair. The rooms contain beautiful artworks, including paintings by famous artists, Chinese
porcelain collections, Gobelins and Brussels tapestries, French furniture, family heirlooms, historical items, statues, in fact treasures
of every description.
Outside, you can walk around the extensive grounds which extend along the banks of the River Tweed and walk over through
the trees to visit the lovely walled garden and see the Millennium Parterre.
